DUBAI (Reuters) - Saudi Aramco aims to buy a controlling stake in petrochemical maker SABIC (SE:2010), possibly taking the entire 70 percent stake owned by Saudi Arabia's sovereign wealth fund, two sources familiar with the matter told Reuters.

Natural gas futures are trying to find direction on Thursday after the US government reported a smaller-than-expected increase in domestic stockpiles. Natural gas prices have been seesawing during the morning portion of the trading session, but they are still on track for a steep weekly decline.

(Montel) Vattenfall will aim to maximise nuclear power generation in the third quarter to help offset low hydropower supply as the Nordic region faces one of the hottest and driest summers in decades, CEO Magnus Hall said on Friday.

The investors who helped bid up the price of LME copper to a four-year high of $US7,348 a metric ton last month are beating a path to the door.
